President Bola Tinubu has taken an official stand by suspending the contentious 0.5% cybersecurity levy on electronic banking transactions.
This move follows extensive deliberations by members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), as confirmed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.
This was announced by Idris during a press briefing at the State House in Abuja on Tuesday, immediately after the conclusion of the FEC meeting.
“We wish to inform the public that President Tinubu has directed the suspension of the 0.5% cybersecurity levy on electronic banking transactions,” stated Idris.
