According to a statement issued by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspects were nabbed during routine police operations conducted at criminal hideouts and black spots within Yola South LGA.

These arrests come as a significant breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure the safety of residents in the affected areas.

“The Command identified the individuals as part of the notorious youngstars known as Shila Boys in local parlance.

The blackspots targeted during the operation were identified as Yola Town Market, Wuro Hausa, and Damare, areas known for criminal activities perpetrated by the Shila Boys gang.

“These arrests were made possible through diligent surveillance and strategic enforcement efforts,” SP Suleiman Nguroje emphasized.

The suspects are currently undergoing thorough investigations to ascertain their involvement in criminal activities and ensure that justice is served according to the law.
