A renowned figure in the world of table tennis, Quadri, clinched the prestigious title on Tuesday, May 14, marking his triumphant return to the pinnacle of African table tennis after a six-year hiatus.

The talented athlete showcased his exceptional skills and resilience as he outclassed Egypt’s Mohamed El-Beiali in a thrilling final showdown held at the BK Arena in Kigali, Rwanda.

In a statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu commended Quadri for his unwavering commitment to excellence, even in the face of challenges.

He hailed the table tennis star’s determination, resilience, and innovative approach, highlighting these as quintessential Nigerian traits that epitomize the nation’s spirit of distinction.
