Seliat Raji, the sister of Ahmed Raji, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), who was kidnapped in Iseyin, Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, has been released.
Her release comes after six harrowing days in captivity.
“The PUNCH reports that the kidnapping occurred on Thursday night when gunmen stormed her residence.
During the attack, a security guard who resisted the kidnappers was killed.”
“High Chief Sikiru Adeniji, the Baale Koso of Iseyinland and the victim’s husband, confirmed her release in a phone conversation with The PUNCH.
He stated that she was freed around 2:00 am on Tuesday following the payment of a ransom.”
“Yes, they have released her after six days. She spent six days with them.
They released her around 2:00 am today.
On the ransom, yes, but I don’t want to say anything about the ransom.
She is currently at home, but we will take her to a hospital soon for a medical check-up,” High Chief Adeniji said.
