The reinstated Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido, has officially received his letter of appointment as the 16th Emir of Kano from Governor Abba Yusuf.
The ceremony took place at the Kano State Government House on Friday.
In a momentous event attended by dignitaries, traditional leaders, and political figures, Governor Yusuf formally presented the letter to Emir Sanusi, marking his reinstatement to the revered position.
The governor expressed his confidence in Sanusi’s ability to lead and unite the people of Kano.

Emir Sanusi, in his acceptance speech, expressed gratitude for the reinstatement and vowed to work towards the betterment of the Kano Emirate.
He stated, “I am deeply honored to be reinstated as the Emir of Kano.
I pledge to serve with dedication, uphold justice, and work tirelessly for the progress and unity of our people.”
The ceremony was a blend of traditional and modern elements, reflecting the rich heritage of the Kano Emirate.
It was highlighted by traditional music, dance, and the presence of various cultural groups who came to show their support for the reinstated Emir.
The reinstatement of Emir Sanusi is seen as a significant move towards healing the divisions and fostering unity within the state.
