The recently deposed 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has called for calm and urged residents to maintain law and order amidst the ongoing leadership tussle in the state.
According to The Nation, Bayero emphasized the importance of justice and adherence to the rule of law.
He stressed that the stability of Kano is crucial to Nigeria’s overall well-being.
“Kano is a vital state in Nigeria, and whatever affects Kano affects the entire country.
I implore everyone to remain peaceful and law-abiding as we await the outcome of the legal process,” Bayero stated.
Bayero, who was deposed by Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, called on the authorities to ensure a fair and just resolution to the crisis.
He reiterated his commitment to accepting the legal outcome, reinforcing his belief in the rule of law.
“Justice is the way forward, and nobody is above the law.
We will accept whatever the law decides,” he affirmed.
The deposed Emir expressed gratitude to those who have shown concern and support during this turbulent period.
He also urged continued prayers for peace in Kano State.
“May Allah protect us and bless Kano with responsible and just leaders,” he added.
