Manchester United delivered a shock defeat to Manchester City with a 2-1 victory in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday, thwarting City’s ambitions of securing a second consecutive league and cup double.

The match saw an early breakthrough when Alejandro Garnacho put United ahead in the 30th minute.

The Argentine forward capitalized on a defensive lapse to slot the ball past City’s goalkeeper, igniting cheers from the United supporters.

United doubled their lead just nine minutes later through Kobbie Mainoo.

The goal came from a brilliantly executed team move, showcasing United’s attacking prowess and leaving City’s defense scrambling.

Despite the two-goal deficit, Manchester City fought back with determination.

Their efforts were rewarded in the later stages of the game when Jeremy Doku pulled one back, giving City a glimmer of hope.

However, United’s defense held firm, and City couldn’t find an equalizer.

The victory marks a significant triumph for Manchester United, ending City’s quest for a consecutive domestic double and adding another prestigious trophy to their cabinet.
