“President Tinubu will return to Abuja on Tuesday to begin another round of commissioning.
He will first inaugurate the Southern Parkway, which the Nyesom Wike-led FCT Administration named after him,” the statement noted.
On Wednesday, the President will attend the National Assembly Dialogue Series and unveil the National Assembly Library Complex, named in his honor.
Additionally, the Abuja Metro (Abuja Light Rail) project will be relaunched.
The Abuja Metro, completed in 2018 and previously in use until 2020, was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent vandalism.
FCT Minister Wike has refurbished the facility for commercial service, spending $15 million and building access roads to various stations.
“President Tinubu will symbolically join a train ride to the city center after relaunching the commercialisation of Abuja Light Rail,” the statement added.
He will also inaugurate the Wuye Flyover-Link Bridge and the Defence Intelligence Agency Headquarters.
The week-long commissioning tour will conclude on Friday, May 31, with the inauguration of the NASENI-Portland Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Reverse Engineering Centre in Utako.
