Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State for his substantial investments in the state’s future.
This commendation came during the commissioning of a multi-billion-naira interchange project celebrating Fintiri’s five-year tenure in office, held in Yola.
Obasanjo, speaking at the event, praised the governor’s commitment to development despite criticism from detractors.
He noted that democracy is firmly established in Nigeria and expressed confidence that the nation’s democracy will continue to grow stronger, citing achievements like those in Adamawa.
In his response, Governor Fintiri attributed the successful completion of the grade interchange project to hard work, frugality, commitment, and dedication.
Despite initial scepticism, he stated that the project was completed excellently and on time.
He encouraged doubters to witness the achievements that vision, courage, and commitment can bring.
Former Governor Bala Ngilari also joined in lauding Fintiri for his visionary leadership, highlighting the significant progress in Adamawa State since he took office.
