The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, emphasized the importance of accepting God’s will without questioning it, stating that no one can demand explanations from God on any issue.
Delivering a sermon at the Kofar Kudu Central Mosque in Kano, the monarch focused on the belief in Allah during both good and bad times.
“Whoever believes that Allah alone gives everything must take the decision of Allah wholeheartedly.
No one asks Allah’s reasons for anything.
We were told that whoever did not accept destiny from Allah, his belief is not complete,” Emir Sanusi said.
He urged people to be thankful in both good and bad situations, emphasizing that everything that happens is predestined by God.
“We are fast approaching Zhul Hijja which is very beneficial, and we must observe supplications these days,” he added before leading prayers.
Meanwhile, confusion persists in Kano as both Emir Sanusi and Ado Bayero have laid claim to the throne.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had dethroned Ado Bayero and asked him to hand over within 48 hours. However, the dethroned monarch returned to the town under military protection and has been operating from the mini palace since then.
In response to the confusion, the Kano State Police Command dismissed reports that Ado Bayero would lead Jumma’t Prayers at Kofar Kudu Central Mosque, where Emir Sanusi was present.
Abdullahi Kiyawa, spokesman of the Kano Police Command, assured the public that adequate security measures had been put in place for both leaders to observe their prayers peacefully.
The ongoing emirate tussle has persisted since the reinstatement of Sanusi and the dissolution of the five emirates, reflecting a complex power struggle in the region.
