Nigerian singer and Grammy-winning artist, Burna Boy, has once again made history by selling out the 80,000-capacity London Stadium.

The iconic performance took place on Saturday, with the artist delivering a spectacular show that left fans in awe.

Burna Boy, known for his electrifying stage presence, performed a medley of his hit songs including ‘City Boys,’ ‘On Form,’ and ‘Last Last.’ The concertgoers, buzzing with excitement, sang along to every word, creating an unforgettable atmosphere at West Ham United’s home ground.

The concert kicked off with a dose of humor, thanks to Nigerian skit maker and comedian, Sabinus, who set the tone for an evening filled with entertainment.

The event also featured performances by several Nigerian music stars, including Omah Lay, Phyno, Shallipopi, Odumodublvck, Seyi Vibez, BNXN, and Pheelz.

Adding to the international flavor, Malian singer Salif Keita and Swedish singer Snoh Aalegra also graced the stage as guest performers.

This isn’t the first time Burna Boy has achieved such a feat at the London Stadium. In 2023, he became the first African artist to sell out the 80,000-capacity venue, a testament to his growing influence and popularity on the global music stage.

Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy’s rise to fame began with the release of ‘Like to Party,’ the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013). His unique blend of Afrobeat, reggae, and dancehall has earned him a loyal fanbase and critical acclaim.

In 2021, Burna Boy set a new benchmark in Nigerian music history when his fifth album, ‘Twice As Tall,’ won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammy Awards. This achievement solidified his status as a global music icon and opened doors to even more prestigious stages worldwide.

Over the years, Burna Boy has performed and sold out numerous notable venues across the globe, continually pushing the boundaries of African music.

His ability to captivate audiences with his powerful vocals, dynamic performances, and engaging stage presence has set him apart as one of the leading figures in contemporary music.

As Burna Boy continues to break barriers and set new records, his influence on the global music scene remains undeniable. His latest achievement at the London Stadium is yet another milestone in a career marked by groundbreaking success and relentless innovation.
