President Bola Tinubu Appoints Board Members Of Nigerian CREDICORP

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of a nine-member board for the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) to expedite the process of expanding consumer credit access to Nigerians.

This announcement was made by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday.

Otunba Aderemi Abdul has been appointed as the Chairman of the board, serving as an Independent Non-Executive Director. The board will be led by Engr. Uzoma Nwagba, who has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Other key appointments include:

Mrs. Aisha Abdullahi as the Executive Director (Credit, Risk & Portfolio)/CRO
Ms. Olanike Kolawole as the Executive Director (Operations)/COO
Dr. Armstrong Ume Takang as the Non-Executive Director (MOFI Nominee)
Dr. Peter Iwegbu as the Non-Executive Director (NIMC Nominee)
Mr. Mohammed Nasiru Abbas as the Non-Executive Director (FMITI Nominee)
Mr. Marvin Nadah as the Non-Executive Director (FCCPC Nominee)
Federal Ministry of Finance (FMF) Representative as Non-Executive Director

Chief Ngelale stated, “The President expects the new members of the Board of this pivotal institutional vehicle to bring their vast experience, competence, and dedication to bear in their functions to achieve CREDICORP’s mandate of accelerating access to consumer credit to millions of Nigerians.”
