Emergency responders are currently battling to extinguish a raging fire that gutted a manufacturing firm in the early hours of Friday at Abule Osun, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, Ojo, Lagos.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire engulfed the JOSIEN Complex, causing extensive damage to the property. Several items within the complex were destroyed in the process.
Swift Response from Authorities
Men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), and the Nigeria Police were quickly on the scene to conduct rescue operations and attempt to bring the fire under control.
As of press time at 11 am, there were no reported casualties or injuries.
Official Statement
Permanent Secretary of LASEMA, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, confirmed that the situation is now under control.
“The fire outbreak at JOSIEN Complex has been effectively contained.
Our teams are on the ground ensuring that all safety measures are in place and that the fire is completely extinguished,” Dr. Oke-Osanyitolu stated.
