President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Michael Adeniyi Koleosho, OFR, a former national chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and former secretary to the Government of Oyo State.
In a statement issued on Thursday, President Tinubu described the late elder statesman as a significant figure in Nigeria’s political landscape and praised his numerous contributions to the country’s democratic journey.
Chief Koleosho, who held the traditional title of Babalaje of Sakiland, was remembered by the President for his dedication to enriching and strengthening the political process in Nigeria.
Tinubu said, “Chief Koleosho’s influence as a politician, businessman, and public servant has left an indelible mark on Oyo State and the nation at large.”
The President extended his heartfelt condolences to the Koleosho family, the people of Oyo State, and all those who knew and admired the late politician.
He prayed for the repose of Koleosho’s soul and comfort for his family during this time of mourning.
