President Bola Tinubu has given his assent to the National Anthem Bill 2024, officially reinstating the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, made the announcement during a joint plenary attended by President Tinubu.
The signing of this bill marks a significant shift from the current anthem, “Arise O Compatriots.”
The bill, which was swiftly passed by both the Senate and the House of Representatives, reflects a decision to return to the anthem that was previously recognized.
