A shocking incident unfolded in Baguio City last week when a furious wife allegedly hacked off her husband’s penis with a 10-inch knife after he moaned another woman’s name during sex.
According to reports from local authorities, the couple, whose identities have not been disclosed, were intimate at their residence when the husband inadvertently uttered another woman’s name.
Enraged by jealousy, the 55-year-old wife waited until her husband fell asleep before taking drastic action.
Police photographs revealed the grisly scene:
the severed tip and part of the shaft of the penis lying on the mattress amidst specks of blood. Neighbors responded to the husband’s cries for help and rushed him to the hospital for emergency medical treatment.
“The reason was jealousy because the wife claimed her husband was a womanizer,” stated a spokesperson from the Baguio City Police Station.
Upon arrival, officers promptly arrested the wife at the scene. She did not attempt to flee and was detained on suspicion of mutilation. Authorities recovered the blood-stained knife and the severed organ as evidence.
Efforts by medical professionals to reattach the penis were unfortunately unsuccessful, local media reported.
In a statement to police, the wife, clad in pink Mickey Mouse pajamas in her mugshot, justified her actions:
“My husband was saying his mistress’s name, not mine. I was influenced by alcohol, but I knew what I was doing. He knows that he is also at fault.”
She further expressed frustration, claiming she had attempted to charge her husband with adultery previously but lacked sufficient evidence.
The wife faces charges of mutilation, a serious offense in the Philippines that carries a penalty ranging from 12 to 40 years in prison.
