Renowned social commentator, Reno Omokri, has attacked the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Peter Obi, for his recent visit to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other political figures.
Omokri, known for his outspoken views, expressed his disapproval in a post on his official social media page, where he shared a screenshot of a news report featuring Peter Obi’s remarks about the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In the report, Obi referred to the PDP as a “structure of criminality.”
In the caption accompanying the post, Omokri questioned the contradiction of Obi’s actions, stating, “And you are now visiting the same ‘structures of criminality.’ What does that make you?”
The visit by Peter Obi to prominent political figures including Atiku Abubakar, former President of the Senate Bukola Saraki, and former governor of Jigawa state Sule Lamido in Abuja, as reported by The Nation on Monday, has sparked controversy and drawn criticism from various quarters.
The move has raised eyebrows among political observers, with some questioning the motives behind the meetings and the implications for Obi’s political stance and integrity.
