American rapper, Sean “Diddy” Combs, has publicly apologized after a disturbing video surfaced, showing him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel hallway in 2016.
In a video posted to his Instagram page, Diddy addressed the incident directly, acknowledging the severity of his actions.
“That behavior in that video is inexcusable,” he stated.
“I take full responsibility for my actions.
I was disgusted then when I did it.
I’m disgusted now.”
Diddy revealed that following the incident, he sought professional help, including therapy and rehab.
“I sought out professional help; I had to go to therapy and rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry,” he added.
“I’m committed to being a better man, each and every day.
I’m not asking for forgiveness.
I’m truly sorry.”
The video, captured from multiple angles and obtained by CNN, revealed Diddy chasing Ventura down the hallway in a towel before attacking her near the elevators.
The incident reportedly took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, which CNN verified based on publicly available photos of the hotel’s interior.
