My Administration Surpassed Targets, Says Adeleke

The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has declared that his administration has exceeded its targets in the past one and a half years.

This achievement, he noted, is reflected in various sectors, including workers’ welfare, infrastructure, health, and education.

In a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, and obtained in Osogbo on Sunday, Adeleke made these remarks while addressing a technical meeting of his Policy Coordination Unit.

The governor expressed satisfaction with the administration’s performance, citing positive feedback from the public. “The feedback from the public has been quite encouraging,” Adeleke stated.

“Our people have gladly given us an A-rating in workers’ welfare, infrastructure, health, education, and many more.

We must express our appreciation to our people.”

Adeleke highlighted that his administration’s approval rating stands at over 80 percent, a testament to the effectiveness of their governance.

“A friend said our approval rating is over 80 percent.

I told him I must work harder in some areas, especially that 20 percent gap.

The good thing is we are just one and a half years in office.”

He emphasized the need for proper coordination in policy design and implementation, urging his team to harness the administration’s policy innovations effectively.

These include initiatives in power, digital economy, agriculture, general economic planning, investment drive, sustainable development, youth development, and gender focus, all structured under the five-point agenda.

“I am largely satisfied with our programme implementation so far.

We have surpassed expectations and targets within one and a half years in office.

We just need to redouble our efforts as we face mid-term in the next six months,” Adeleke noted.

The governor also acknowledged the growing support for his administration across local governments, attributing this to the pleasant surprises delivered by his performance.

“Our party has also become very entrenched across the local governments.

Leaders who were not with me during the guber primaries are now solidly with us.

We are gaining more ground as people get pleasant surprises with our performance.”

Adeleke reiterated his commitment to both physical and human development.

“Feedback shows our people are happy with our dual effort at physical and stomach infrastructure.

We will continue to build the road and the people.

We will not neglect human development for physical development.”

The Policy Coordination Unit, which reports to the Chief of Staff to the governor, plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of the administration’s policies and initiatives.
